Pro-Am Standard Aquatic Dumbbell

PRO-AM STANDARD AQUATIC DUMBBELL

Aquatic Exercise Equipment for Water-Based Programs

The Pro-Am Standard Aquatic Dumbbell supports upper-body movement during water exercise. Its 57 cm length suits aquatic fitness, water aerobics and supervised hydrotherapy programs.

Water resists the dumbbell as the user moves it. Therefore, users can incorporate it into a range of controlled aquatic exercises.

For example, instructors may include pressing, pulling or sweeping movements in an exercise session. However, they should always match each movement to the user’s ability and program requirements.

Product Features

• Designed for aquatic exercise
• Suitable for controlled upper-body movements
• Suitable for water-aerobics classes

Suitable Activities

The dumbbell can support several types of water exercise. For example, instructors may use it during aquatic fitness or upper-body conditioning sessions.

In addition, qualified professionals may incorporate it into supervised hydrotherapy programs. Exercise selection should always reflect the individual user’s needs.

Using the Aquatic Dumbbell

First, select an appropriate water depth for the user. Then introduce controlled movements at a comfortable pace.

Faster movement creates greater water resistance. Alternatively, slower movement generally reduces the exercise intensity.

However, users should stop if they experience pain, discomfort or unusual fatigue. A qualified professional should supervise rehabilitation exercises where required.

Care and Inspection

After each use, rinse the dumbbell thoroughly in clean water. Then allow it to dry completely before storage.

Before each session, inspect the dumbbell for damage or excessive wear. Finally, discontinue use if any component becomes loose or damaged.
